NEW Yellow wheelbarrow FREE farm brand
goes John 'O Groats to Lands End;
our 14 day UK wide Campaign, starts VERY soon!!
UPDATE NEWSFLASH!
At Cleeve, North Somerset's Adult Learning Team, are bringing 16 individuals, plus an agricultural trainer, every Thursday, to enjoy 'growing together' - at the first model 'Yellow wheelbarrow farm'.
The press will be there, to take photos of their activities. N.B. Our growers will know, that they will be encouraging others across Britain to do likewise (whilst enjoying what they do, for their own benefit).
Next week, I am meeting a care-home proprietor, who wants to bring 6 residents, to enjoy growing with us; so our numbers are up to 36 - even though the spring isn't here yet! ...and more will join us then.
OUR PRACTICAL SUPPORTERS.
They number the likes of:- ICI Paints Division (Makers of Dulux and Hammerite paints), The National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardens Ltd., (The body, to which all Allotment Associations are affiliated), The Soil Association (The modern forerunners, in promoting organic/green farming standards), Mole Valley Farmers Ltd. (The biggest farm supplies company, in the South West - with shares held by all farmers, who have accounts there), Haemmerlin Ltd., (Britains biggest wheelbarrow manufacturer - t/a 'Chillington wheelbarrows'), Field Sciences, of Dorset (Natural soil re-mineralizing experts) and Farmers for Action* (who were courageous enough, to make a point for everyone, by protesting at high fuel and HGV road licensing costs, which affects us all!).
*If you remember, their objections were against the uncompetitive position farmers and road hauliers were in, against unfair competition, from lower taxation on the continent. In my mind, despite their chosen methods - because not everyone agreed with them, Farmers for Action, showed by example, that selfless, principled stands, have to be taken by ordinary people - to bring changes which are needed, to help raise opportunities for everyone.
The following bodies and people, are on our list to be brought on-board: The National Farmers Union, The Women's Institutes' of Great Britain, Friends of the Earth, Ethical businesses, Seed producers, The Transition movement, Radio 4's 'The Archers', Harbro farm feeds of Aberdeen, Hugh Fearnley, Whittingstall, of River Cottage (The chef, food and farming campaigner), and Farmer Michael Eavis (The Glastonbury Festival genius).
We welcome the ordinary people and farmers, across Britain, that have contacted us and are showing interest in setting up, as we are - to improve the lives in their own area.
Pioneers everywhere, we salute you!
RICHARD SIBLEY, promoter of 'The yellow wheelbarrow, FREE UK-wide farm growing brand'
Thanks must go, to 'the media', who have had the foresight to publish and broadcast, details of our FREE growing 'for all' proposals; without whom, none of these opportunities would be possible.
